IRAME vs ChatGPT

ChatGPT is a general-purpose AI assistant, good for drafting and one-off questions about a file. IRAME is built for internal audit. IRA, IRAME's AI auditor, saves each control, re-runs it on the full population and routes every exception to an owner.

The ChatGPT column describes ChatGPT used as a general assistant on files you provide. Its plans and features change over time.

Where ChatGPT is strong

  • Drafting memos, emails and policy summaries quickly.
  • Explaining a standard or a term in plain words.
  • Quick, one-off questions about a single file.
  • Broad general knowledge across every subject.

Which one fits your team

Choose ChatGPT if

  • You need help writing, summarising or explaining.
  • The question is a one-off and nobody needs to re-perform the answer.

Choose IRAME if

  • The test must run again next month on the full population.
  • Each exception needs an owner and a recorded outcome.
  • An external auditor has to rely on the result.

Questions about IRAME and ChatGPT

Can we use ChatGPT for internal audit testing?

IRAME is built for the testing itself. ChatGPT can analyse an uploaded file, but it does not save the test as a control, re-run it on a schedule or route exceptions to owners. Audit evidence needs all three.

Does IRAME work like a chatbot?

No. In IRAME you describe a control to IRA, IRAME's agentic AI, in plain words. IRA builds and saves it. From then on, the same data and the same control give the same result on every run.

Can we use both?

IRAME sits well beside a general AI assistant. Use the assistant to draft memos and summarise policies; use IRAME to test controls, route exceptions and keep the evidence.

Where does our data go?

IRAME runs in IRAME's cloud in your region, your own cloud tenancy or on-premise with on-premise AI models. In your environment, the data stays there. Customer data never trains a model. IRAME is SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified.
