How the work was done before
Each project has three documents that should agree: the BoQ, the letter of award and the contract. The team checked them against each other by hand, and they did not always agree. The records also had to be audit-ready.
What IRAME runs
| Control | Example |
|---|---|
| BoQ to LoA | Scope, rate and quantity of each BoQ item are checked against the letter of award. |
| LoA to contract | Awarded scope, rate and quantity are checked against the signed contract. |
| Document linking | Each contract is linked to its BoQ and LoA, so a mismatch shows against the right agreement. |

Who runs it day to day
Internal audit owns the review; IRA matches the documents and lists each mismatch against its agreement. The audit team decides which mismatches are findings. Each finding goes to its owner and is tracked to closure. For a US contractor or developer, the same matching applies to contracts, change orders and progress bills.
